SYNCHRONIZE Chapter-10

At the end of the day, we felt that the day was legit ineffable. The 2 days were an ethereal serendipity. As it was mentioned in the opening ceremony that our participation and determination is more essential than winning; that everything in life, just like life itself is a learning experience. We would like to conclude that overall it was a unique experience in a new place. We also thank Bishop Cotton Boy's School's staff, volunteers, organizers, our teachers, friends and families for their unstinting support.

SYNCHRONIZE Chapter-1

SYNCHRONIZE -2018

The word synchronize implies- to operate or occur at the same time or rate. The magnificent fest, Synchronize 2018, Powered by Science, Driven by IT, in the Bishop Cotton Boys' School conducted numerous interschool contests! Before the events were declared open, there was a montage of all the 18 events which was a real masterpiece. This events and contests involve intense brainstorming and logical reasoning!!

THE OPENING CEREMONY

On a partly cloudy morning, we were all psyched up to be a part of the 10th edition of Synchronize 2018. Powered by science and Driven by IT in The Bishop Cotton Boys' High School, had a grand opening ceremony. After prayers, the addresses by the Chief Guests and the school song, it was the Rock Band that lifted our enthusiasm higher. There was also a dance and a mesmerizing Lazer show. What caught our attention the most was the rock songs which were both entertaining as well as school appropriate, it's really hard to strike a balance between the two.

The Auditorium

The Ceremony was in the Auditorium at around 10 AM IST. The Ceremony started with the school choir singing their School's song, On Straight On. This added quite a balmy effect to the beginning.  The boys sang in quite a perfect harmony.

Right after the School's Song, there was an ensemble of musicians, who put on a great show. They played the theme song of Synchronize. The lively music raised our spirits and thrilled us even more for the rest of the event. There 7 boys each handling their instruments. There were few on the guitars, one on his keyboard and another was the vocalist. I bet, all of them did a great job in making the atmosphere even more sprightly.

This was followed by an address from one of the Chief Guests, Dr. Latha Christie. She, during her speech posed an intriguing question," Who's more creative? A scientist or an artist?". Quotes by famous personalities like Einstein were cited- Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting  different results. We were told words of wisdom regarding success, about our goals but flexible in our methods.

The speech of Dr. Latha's was acceded by a dance. There a few boys dancing among all of them, there was little guy who caught everyone's attention! Well I can clearly tell that the kid really have "the moves like jagger". On the whole the dance was shizz!!

Next up was the trippy Laser show. It was really cool how such machines are made to produce or emit such lights. This laser show was accompanied by music which went along with the patterns of the light. The didn't really feel fugazi and it almost felt like we were a part of all the moving lights. The experience was really enthralling though!!

Moving on, the other guest who was present with us, gave a really short speech (well let's not elaborate on that, shall we?). Right after the address, a montage was played which gave us the gen on the many events which will be conducted for the next two days. Well the montage, to be honest, was literally amazing. Each one the events were described perfectly and well executed.

The next few articles will brief you about 8 events that we've encountered.
